DreamScreen Printing Software
Description
Dreamscreen Printing Software is a web application designed for creating and printing price tags, price lists, posters, placards, and similar items. It includes a template editor for designing layouts (formatting text or image fields, etc.) and a content editor for filling in the templates. The final designs can be printed or saved as PDF files.
Our client, a publishing company from Germany, approached us with an existing software and requested our team to update the outdated UI and enhance the overall performance and usability.
Challenge
When we received the client’s software, it had unclear architecture and poor-quality code, making it difficult to maintain. The original software was hard to navigate, slow, and lacked a user-friendly design.
Solution
To help address the client's request, 4-5 software engineers from our team took part in the development process. We designed and created a new web application with a clear structure. We rewrote most of the application, maintaining only the code for generating images and PDFs.
The frontend was built from scratch using Material UI for faster development, Firebase for storage, hosting, and cloud functions, and Elasticsearch for advanced sorting and filtering.
In the end, we achieved a user-friendly, efficient web application that continues to evolve with new features.
