Online Financial Consultant
Description
The development began in 2009 when our clients, experienced financial consultants, turned to our team to digitize their expertise. The online financial software would help people by providing them consultations for exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Challenge
For those individuals who have no prior experience in investing in ETFs, the process can seem quite challenging and carries major risks. To manage these risks, many people usually turn to financial consultants for help. Yet, finding a consultant who is both affordable and highly professional can be a major challenge. Moreover, there are very few custom-made software systems that can perform the same functions fast and reliably.
Solution
To tackle this challenge, we developed an online financial consultancy service for our client in Germany. Using stock market data and recommendations from professional consultants, the online financial advisory system offers personalized recommendations on what ETFs to sell and buy on a daily basis to reach the users’ predefined financial goals.
Here’s how the software works. First, the user logs into the software to select an investment portfolio and a risk-return ratio. Depending on the portfolio, the system provides recommendations on what to buy or sell based on daily stock market quotes. The software is currently integrated with stock exchanges, allowing users to execute transactions directly on these platforms. All these transactions and information are consolidated into the portfolio.
The software also provides tools for monitoring portfolios and analyzing finances, making it easy to automate all investment activities. It has been operating successfully for over 10 years. Its functionalities and services have grown over the years becoming more complex. The number of developers and QA specialists involved from SCD has varied over the years, typically averaging between 3 and 4.
